My Shein Wish List *All Under $20*

Scroll to Bottom for Wish List! This post is NOT sponsored.

I don’t really want to tell you this little piece of information because it helps me look like a big baller even though I’m not (did I just say that?). But since you guys are my people, today I’ll open up about my love of Shein.com.  I have to be honest, I don’t know much about Shein’s background, but what I do know is that it’s where I get most of my clothing under $10, and I would be devastated if one day this website did not exist. Everyday discounts, good quality, and FREE returns.

In today’s world it seems like a lot of people are one-time shoppers, meaning girls will often buy an outfit “for the insta” and then never re-wear it. If your about that, then SheIn is your place, and I would never recommend spending over $20 on an article of clothing you’re only going to wear once. When talking to other affordable fashion bloggers, I’ve found that some people are too skeptical to order from the site since it’s based in China and people are worried that the site is a scam – but let me tell you, they seem to know what they’re doing.

Distressed Skinny Jeans $18

I have an extreme attachment to SheIn because they have clothes that I would often see on designer websites, that are affordable, yet still made with quality material. Seriously, some of the leggings I have from SheIn are better quality than my leggings from Athleta, and they are almost always true to the size and color shown online. That’s not to say that a purchase will never get a hole or a rip, but luckily if it does, it’s affordable enough to purchase again.

I’m going on my second year purchasing from this site and I must say that the only downside I’ve found is that the clothes take around 3 weeks to arrive (hey, China is far away).

I can identify countless pro’s to the site though, including their weekly sales (as if the clothes weren’t cheap enough), along with their impressive customer service that gets back to me almost immediately if I ever have problems. There are many sites from

Button Placket Knot Front Cami Top: $8

China that I refuse to shop. For example, I once purchased a silver shimmery from Dresslink and received an orange T-shirt. As someone who is always willing to experiment when it comes to online shopping, you can trust me that I will NEVER be writing a review about those types of sites on my blog.

So, now that I’ve revealed my secret, here are my favorite items on the site right now all under $20. Hopefully you’re able to utilize the link in my bio and get a free bodysuit today and tomorrow, but if not, I highly suggest signing up for the email list to get notifications of deals like today’s:

Find the Right Faux Fur for You (All Under $100)

Fuzzy, furry, faux, fluffy, frilly…fur is in. Everyone has their own preferences on whether they want their coat to look shaggy or perfectly fluffed. So, here’s my guide on faux fur coats for under $100 (Everything is linked)! Coupons are saved under the ‘deals’ highlight on my Instagram so make sure to check it out before completing any faux fur purchases!

Kept Fuz Zip Ups: It’s not shedding or falling out but it’ll keep you warm even when it’s snowing and give you the control to unzip and show off a cute outfit underneath.

UO Shaila Oversized Fuzzy Jacket: $89

I.AM.GIA Caramel Pixie Coat: $87

SHEIN Striped Trim Faux Fur: $44

JET John Eshaya Teddy Fur Coat: $76

Kept Fuz Quarter Zips: These also don’t shed, and although you can’t show off your outfit underneath, it gives you just enough freedom to show off a stylish necklace combo and gives you the perk that you don’t have to find that perfect shirt since it’ll be covered up anyway!

Dylan Frosty Tipped Pullover: $89.99

True Grit Tipped in Charcoal: $95.15

*Buy Charcoal in Mens to Get Correct Oversized Fit

Personally, kept fuz zip ups are my personal favorite. They make me feel like I’m responsible enough to wear a coat out, but are also perfect to cuddle up with in my bed. Crossing my fingers that none of these sell out this time, but I love the caramel coats more than chocolate itself. Dress it up for a day in New York, or wear it to watch Netflix by yourself. The only con: my I.am.Gia. pixie coat definitely gets smelly if I don’t wash it right away. Something about the fibers definitely hold smell so just make sure you give it a wash, even if you have to sacrifice a little fluff to do so.

Cheetah Print Coats: I remember when cheetah everything was in style. But now for some reason the fluffy coats are back. And I kind of like them. I guess it’s like, while you’re being boujee, you might as well add cheetah print.

Winova Faux Fur Leopard Coat: $79.41

Cause I’m Cozy Faux Fur Jacket: $34.99

I have the second coat from Fashion Nova and love it. I’ve seen people wearing ones well over $100 that had a lot less poof to them. This coat really fills itself out, keeps you warm, and is super affordable!

Sherpa Lining: The item that led me to write this article. From lined vests to coats, these are nice if you get hot super easily because the fur only covers part of the material. The vests show off your outfits but the coats are unique. It’s no secret that influencers everywhere are mixing sherpa lining with suede.

Retro La La Tan Suede Jacket: $55

Goldie London Fur Parka Jacket: $34

May Logan Faux Suede Vest: $48

Faux Suede Sherpa Vest: $11.99

The last picture of the Faux Suede Vest from Charlotte Russe is the one from my newest Instagram photo that comes in black or brown. Not gonna lie, I’m a little bitter writing this that it went down from the $40 I originally paid, but here’s to sharing secrets. For the past few days, I’ve had my eyes on the retro la la tan. Not sure how much longer I’ll be able to stay away..

Fluffy Bunched Coats: These are great for an elegant night out. I love to put these types of coats over my dress so my shoulders don’t freeze & sometime’s they’re just what you need to tie your outfit together.

Lourdes Cream Fringe Jacket: $60

BerryGo  Coat (Pink/White/Black): $44.42

Alisha Long Faux Fur Coat: $44.40

Whether you want a long or a short bunched coat, they’re everywhere from Lulu’s to Amazon. Here are a few of my favorites, with options varying from puffy to long and colors of pink, white, grey, and black.

Shaggy Coats: Maybe you want your style to look a little more retro or you don’t want to look so perfectly put together – shaggy coats are perfect for this, and the cheapest types of faux fur coats on the market.

Make Me Chic Collarless Coat: $34.90

Chic Women’s Parka: $54.49

Posh Society Mohair Shaggy Coat: $49

Bet you wouldn’t be able to guess from the photo’s which shaggy coat is from Walmart ;). So hopefully, this will help narrow down your faux fix. I would say the first three options are best if you’re looking for a coat to keep you warm in the colder weather, while the rest are more of a fashion statement. Feel free to pin photos in your favorite faux on my projectsweetcaroline Pinterest board & I look forward to seeing them!

DIY: How I Created My Entire Gallery Wall Under $35

I moved into a new apartment, which means I finally had an excuse to do some decorating. But, it’s no secret that with decorating a room, comes a price. In case you haven’t heard me excitedly flashing shots of my room on my Instagram stories, I picked a color scheme of white and rose gold so I could finally fulfill my gold rose obsession. (scroll further down for pics)

Rose Gold gallery wall

After multiple trips to Homegoods, Wayfair, and Ikea, I was satisfied with my new room but still had one big blank wall I was looking to fill. I looked for large canvases that would take up a large chunk of the wall, but all of them were far outside of my price range.  After looking at various Pinterest photos, I decided I wanted to create a gallery wall: a space with various decorations and photos that would look visually appealing when they were all placed together in no particular order. This led me to my next issue, gallery walls mean that you need many frames and items to fill up space, which would meant $$.

I narrowed down my options and decided that what I wanted was a few rose gold frames and found a set of 6 travel prints on Amazon.com for $64. Wtf, I was just going to splurge, but thankfully my friends and coworkers persuaded me that this would be such a big waste of money for something I could DIY.

So, I decided to get crafty (a little). I went to Michaels thinking I would find something, but most of the frame sets of 5 were over $30. After doing some searching, I found a set of 5 various sized rose gold frames for only $12.50 at Walmart linked here. Side Note: Yes, I’m a lifestyle blogger that buys some of her shit from Walmart. I don’t think it makes me any less glamorous, I think it makes me practical and hopefully relatable? I picked up these frames and then was on a mission to fill them.

Back to HomeGoods I went, searching for the perfect prints to fill my 5 new frames, but no luck for anything that would fit within the small budget I had left. Luckily, I discovered amazing sites with free stock photos. Free stock are photos that photographers put online that are available for commercial use at no price. If you get them from reliable sites, they are typically very high quality, no matter what you resize them to, so no worrying about them looking blurry or pixely when you send them to print.

I found some of my favorite Rose Gold prints from websites such as pixabay.com as well as Pexels.com and imported them into VSCO so I could adjust the lighting and highlights to make them look similar and cohesive.

My last step was resizing these photos so that they would fit the frames. A site called Canva, which I would suggest for any picture or digital related project, allowed me to resize these photos to the perfect 4 x 6, 8 x 10, etc. I then sent the pictures to CVS and filled my frames with high quality prints two hours later.

Spacing the five prints across my wall definitely filled up a good amount of space, but my walls still needed something else. I had a Maryland decoration from my Aunt that definitely added character.

I found these cute cork board hexagons on Target’s website and bought 2 sets of 3 ($7.99 each) that I could arrange uniquely. I filled these with personal photos, old tickets, and notes to complete my gallery wall and have now covered that blank space that I was staring at every time I got in bed to make it feel personal and homey.

So, next time you go face a blank wall, maybe you’ll think about this article and breathe a sigh of relief that it doesn’t have to be a big investment.

I feel like this is an issue that a lot of people can relate to. You put on a new outfit and feel put together until you’re walking down the street and notice that one of your over the knee boots is slouching mid-calf while your other is still standing tall. You need a boot bra.

Slouching boots falling down
*Pictures in this post are not my own*

I’ve gone through many pairs of boots, each time, trying to buy a boot that seemed like it would be more secure to my leg. Whether I bought a more narrow style, a boot with a drawstring, or a boot with that was made with more firm material, I continued to encounter the same issue: my boots were falling down my leg, and I spent my night out bent over pulling up my boots.

Not too long ago, I found this solution that I’m finally happy with. I’ve been wearing my black boots for three months now and haven’t had any problems with them slouching on me. Here’s my quick DIY trick:

What You’ll Need:

-Elastic strips (black if you’re wearing black boots)

-Velcro (preferably industrial strength)

-fabric scissors

-safety pins

How to Make a Boot Bra:

  1. Take the elastic and measure it around your thigh as high as you want the boot to go. Cut away the excess elastic.
*Pictures in this post are not my own*

2. Safety pin the elastic tightly around your thigh so that it forms a circular band. If you don’t feel that the safety pin is secure enough and you’re skilled with a needle and thread, you can easily just stitch the elastic together.

*Pictures in this post are not my own*

3. Stick the velcro right to the elastic that should be hugging your leg.

*Pictures in this post are not my own*

4. Attach the other velcro strip onto the boot so that the boot can adhere to the elastic on your leg.

*Pictures in this post are not my own*

Now, each time you put your boot on, make sure you’re wearing your elastic strips so they have a way to stay in place.

$$ Alternatives:

If DIY isn’t your thing, Amazon offers a few pricier alternatives to help your boots stay in place.

  • Hollywood Boot Straps: These are more for the purpose of helping your pants not look bunched over your boots. These are designed to go around the ankle rather than your thigh with the idea that it will keep the fabric taut to your leg.
  • Boot Stay: A strip of adhesive that sticks to both your pant leg and the boot. Reviews say these are aren’t your most comfy option.

Hopefully, these options will put an end to your boot difficulties & as always, message me if you have your own way of doing this that you’d like to share.

Inside my Fab Fit Fun Box

Alright. True to my word, here is my reveal of what was inside my box! I must say, I really like the way that the box was packaged. A newspaper inside outlining each item and the multiple ways to wear or use it, along with it’s original list price. My overall consensus: enthused.

  • Nine Lives Choker by 8 other reasons: Ok, so I really like that this is a multi-layer necklace because those are really in right now, but I have to be honest, this choker looks young for me when I put it on. Maybe I feel like it has a cheap look to it, but it still might add a nice touch to a few of my outfits. Side note: I got silver and mainly wear gold…so I guess they didn’t look at my preferences on this one, bummer!             8-Other-Reasons-PNG-8.png
  • AHAVA mineral hand cream with dead sea water: I love it. I use it. I made my mom use it. I made my coworkers use it. & now I won’t let anyone use it because I don’t want it to run out. The smell is calming and it leaves my skin feeling super soft. It definitely feels like a a mature and quality lotion. water-hand-cream-50_more_5_2
  • BB Dakota Poncho: I’ve been wanting a poncho so this item has me most excited. And to receive a full article of clothing in my box makes me really feel like I got my money’s worth. I spent $40 on the box with a coupon, and without a doubt I would have spent $40 on just this poncho. It is thick material and isn’t cheap at all. Although, I’m sad that I got the grey instead of the red, should I upgrade to a premium membership so I can choose all of the colors next time? I don’t know…then things wouldn’t be a surprise.BB-Dakota-PNG-3.png
  • Homemade by Ayesha Curry Mug: AHHH! I love this mug, it makes me feel so trendy. And after watching youtube reveals, this was definitely my favorite of the 3 potential mugs that I could have received. Fab Fit Fun is all about empowering women, so that adds some background for their support of Ayesha Curry’s business.
  • Ayesha-Curry-PNG-6.png
  • Nelson J Beverly Hills Moisture Healing Mask: I’ve gotta be honest, I notice no difference to my hair after rinsing this off. Unless this is a leave-in and I didn’t read the instructions correctly. At least it smells good and the packaging is pretty.Nelson-J-PNG.png
  • Pointe Aloe Infused Cozy Socks: Nice fuzzy socks that leave me with the question of: does the aloe come out when I wash them?Pointe-Studio-PNG-9.png
  • DOUCCE Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette: Ooooh, who doesn’t like the feeling that shoots down your spine when you open the lid to a beautiful new palette. The best part of this palette that I read about in the little newspaper pamphlet is that each shadow is magnetic to the palette, so you can buy different swatches or fillers and rotate them out. On the side of the palette is a highlighter that I’m excited to sweep on my upper cheek bones.Doucce-PNG-21-300x300.png
  • Deep Sleep Pillow Spray: This was one of the items that Fab Fit Fun let me choose. It was either this or an exercise ball and I really liked the idea of this. It has a strong herbal lavender scent, and my boyfriend thinks the spray is BS but it probably emulates sleeping next to a burning candle, right?This-Works-PNG-1
  • Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment: I haven’t had the chance to use this yet. It’s a smaller bottle, but I’ve definitely heard of beauty bloggers raving about this brand, so I think this was a good choice on Fab Fit Fun’s part.Kate-Sommerville-PNG-1.png

SO, Overall, this box made me really happy for the rest of the day, and I even ordered an extra to give to my friend for her birthday because I realized it would really make the perfect gift. I’ll definitely participate in next season because of the fact that I feel like I got so much for the amount that I paid, but I do wish Fab Fit Fun had paid a little more attention to my preferences. Oh well, at least I’m restocked in the beauty and fashion department.
